Description

One of the largest clusters of the Skies - here in LRGB imaging. The raw data from Telescope.Live, the best 80% of those files processed in PixInsight and optimized in Photoshop. Telescope CDK24, camera a CCD FLI-PL9000 with 3nm Astrodon filters. Exposure times of files 300" and 600", in total 8h25´.

Omega Centauri is the brightest cluster of all and the only one which can be recognized by unaided eyes - about 1 degree in size and 5.3mag brightness, containing about 10Mio stars. Its center is not as dense as others are and therefore most of the stars even at the center can be seen separate with an appropriate optical equipement.
